As a photographer I feel the printing process to be an extension of the capture and imaginative expression. To that end, I prefer to print my own work.
My current printer is an Epson Z3100 wide format unit, and I am quite pleased with the color renditions as well as the gray scale of the black and white prints.
The inks are produced by Epson, my default paper is the Epson Professional Satin paper which is used for all the matted and non matted prints. The archival life is in the 200 year area, well the equal of traditional wet prints.
I do like the deep blacks of printing on photographic canvas paper as well, something special about the texture and light reflection to a canvas print. The paper used on these type of prints is produce by Breathing Color, the particular paper is Lyve Canvas, again archaically rated at the 200 year level, all coated with a stain Timeless varnish for complete protection.
